Airpod pro beep

I've owned my APP2's for about a month now and for the past week the case beeps sometimes whenever I open them. I use them with a android phone but they are associated with an Apple ID as I've paired them to my Mac before. Im wondering if the case is in lost mode or something. Probably low battery. It beeps when you open the case at 40% or less.
