Engineered with a toddler and pets will get destroyed. Most Laminate is junk. I think laminate is getting better, and some claim to be fully waterproof. But I don't see any advantage over LVP. I'm all for having more choices, but right now I think LVP is the clear winner if you're balancing cost vs durability.
