The Paʻia Fish Market is an iconic Maui restaurant located in the heart of historic Paʻia town. Its doors opened in 1989. The roots of this plantation-style community are deeply connected to the production and history of sugar cane. Paʻia served as a meeting place for the local factory workers and fishermen across the island. We began and ended our amazing 2 weeks in Maui at Paia Fish Market. It was great, casual place to stop after a long flight from the mainland and before heading to our condo on the west side of Maui where restaurants would have been closed had we waited to eat later. The Ono burger and Ahi burger with fries and slaw were all great. Paia Fish Market is a must stop if you're in Hawaii near any of their locations! We stayed in Wailea and dined at the Southside location for dinner on a weekday and had a phenomenal experience about 30 minutes prior to the location closing.
