Frost Auto Scout, pure Cold dmg projectile/spell. Risen Vaal Advocates are my go-to because I absolutely hate having to reraise spectres. Them being casters and having +405% life and all resists is a healthy combo for survivability. Plus they come in phys and chaos varieties if you're looking to do conversion.

For Spectres, Kay if you want a build that is more well-rounded defensively but the damage suffers dramatically as a result, Ghazzy if you just want pure DPS and accept that death will be a regular part of mapping (Cast on Death + Portal helps). Neither will feel good without a significant currency investment these days.
