General Information. Directions: Fallen Leaf Lake Campground is located on the south side of Lake Tahoe, approximately three miles north of the "Y" (the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 89) in South Lake Tahoe. The campground entrance can be accessed by turning off Highway 89 onto Fallen Leaf Lake Road. Fallen Leaf Campground is located 53 min southwest of Carson City, NV with an elevation of 6,339 feet. There are a total of 194 campsites including 6 yurts. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid October. 188 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 21 and 187 feet. All sites are currently reservable.
